Group Conscience was called to have a default of readings by the week using Recovering Couples Anonymous: A Twelve Step Program. Chapter VI: 52 Daily Reflections for Couple Recovery. The week of the calendar year is the default reading. If a lead for the week wants to use their own preferred reading from the Recovering Couples Anonymous book or their own personal topic, that is allowed and ok.

The daily reading number will correlate to the week of the calendar year. If a lead for the week wants to use their own preferred reading from the Recovering Couples Anonymous book or their own personal topic, that is allowed and ok.

FEBRUARY 5, 2023
Group conscience was called to motion having the in-person portion of Restoring Hope RCA’s hybrid meeting changed from weekly to once per month, followed by fellowship dinner, and that meeting will be fully separate from the online meeting. The monthly in-person meeting will be held at Grace Presbyterian at 5 pm Sundays, where Restoring Hope RCA currently meets.
FEBRUARY 19, 2023
The group conscience voted for Restoring Hope RCA to stay a hybrid meeting. Restoring Hope RCA will reduce the in-person meetings to once per month and still be part of the Zoom meetings. The 2nd Sunday of the month was the preferred day presented. A group member volunteered to formalize the date for the in-person portion of the meeting after gathering people’s preferences. That new schedule will be posted on the website once finalized.

JANUARY 15, 2022
Group conscience was called to discuss changing the script to recommend a donation amount. Also to add a second mention towards the end of the meeting about donating.

The group conscience was presented to add the verbiage of a recommended donation amount of $2-$5. Also, it was recommended and approved to mention donating a second time. The revised script will be updated online and for the in-person meeting.

Group conscience was called to discuss donating to Grace Presbyterian Church for the meeting space. It was requested to be 3 weeks from today on Jan 8 meeting because of the holidays.

Group conscience was narrowed down to donating once per quarter for a sum of $100 each quarter. January, April, July, and October. This will change the previous donation period of annually.

We held a group conscience to move this meeting to a hybrid meeting starting next week on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 5 pm CST. The hybrid meeting in-person portion is at Grace Presbyterian Church 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, TX 77042, and the online portion will remain the same login.

A group conscience was put forth to a vote for returning to St Stephen’s. With all information made available, the group decided to not return to St Stephen’s at this time because of the restrictions in place. Generally speaking, things that detoured the group were a list of people submitted to St Stephen’s and a restriction on the # of people allowed in the room at one time restricting the possibility of people recovering.

An emergency group conscience was made to move the group to online only during the pandemic from St Stephen church. St Stephens closed its doors both to its congregation and the public due to the pandemic.
